It has been a grand year. We have seen a moderate increase in studens within the past term. But the most important thing is that we graduate five students, 3 have jobs in the field. One is looking for an advanced degree, and one is pending a law enforcement job.

Police Ethics - class meeting tonight - we will be using the Rodney King Incident as a case study for the entire term. However the students are four Sgts., and the event is going to have occurred last night with tribal police.

Using real life examples, and bringing it home is a great educational technique. This is a powerful way for the students to see how something would/could impact a potential future employer, and commuity.

We will be examing this through various lenses throughout the term. Will report back more as time goes on --

LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING:

Leech Lake Tribal Police Department is now aware of a medical trauma training involving scenarios with role-playing at the Leech Lake Tribal College.
Training topics include active shooter situations portraying multiple people wounded via gunfire.
Please be aware this is only training and not a real-life situation.

Thank you for the concern.
