Lake Howell Casselberry's hidden treasure! Lake Howell is a private lake. Access is restricted to residents that have a private ramp on their property.

All ramps are gated and locked. If your condo, apartment, or subvision does not have a ramp you can not access the lake at another property. There is no public boat ramp or public parking.

The Friends of Lake Howell will meet tomorrow, Thursday Jan 12 at 6:30 PM at the Lake Howell Arms clubhouse.

The Diocese sold 335 acres of it's property on the southeast corner of Lake Howell. The new owner, Sun Terra Communities, has indicated that they will build less than the plan that was approved for the Diocese. That's good news, but we have been down this road several times.

The developer will meet with neighbors Tue Mar 22, 6 PM at the Elks Lodge, 4755 Howell Branch Rd (across from the fire station). Interested parties should attend and let the developer know that we welcome the new community and that, as neighbors, we care how the property is developed.

I did a couple laps the other weekend and the lake is hydrilla free!! I see lots of boating, paddleboarding, canoeing and barbecuing in the near future. We've got to make up for the last 2 years of not being able to use the lake!
