🔥 OUTDOOR BURNING NOT RECOMMENDED 🔥

The Cassville Fire Department does not recommend any outdoor burning at this time.

As shown on the attached Drought Monitor map, Barry County is currently classified as D2 — Severe Drought. With little to no meaningful rainfall expected in the foreseeable future, conditions across our area are continuing to deteriorate.

Dry vegetation, low humidity, and ongoing drought conditions can cause fires to spread rapidly and become difficult to control—even when conditions initially appear manageable.

For the safety of our community, firefighters, homes, and property, we are asking everyone to refrain from all outdoor burning until we receive substantial rainfall and conditions improve.

Please help us prevent an avoidable wildfire. If you see a fire that is spreading or becomes uncontrolled, call 911 immediately.

Unfortunately Cassville Fire Department had two structure fires today. They would have turned out a lot different if it wasn’t for our mutual aid partners. We greatly appreciate the help the following departments provided.
