City of Castle Hills The City of Castle Hills is a small community of 2.5 square miles, incorporated in 1951. The city is located within metropolitan San Antonio, Texas.

The city boundaries are Jackson-Keller Road on the south, Lockhill Selma Road on the north, Blanco Road on the east and the T&NORR tracks on the west. Castle Hills has evolved and developed at a comfortable pace. Today it is a vital and vibrant community. Most of the property in Castle Hills remains private residential property, with large lots, and an abundance of trees. The city also has superio

r educational facilities and public leadership, all of which exemplify the best of small city government. It is a community shaped by the inflections of its early days along with a spirit of cooperation and pride that continue to this day.

The City Council of the City of Castle Hills does hereby Proclaim August 11, 2026 as a day to recognize: LOIS and STEVEN JENSEN &
JENSEN’S YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL

WHEREAS, the City of Castle Hills is proud of the small businesses of the community; and

WHEREAS, small businesses are the lifeblood of Castle Hills; and

WHEREAS, Jensen’s Yamaha Music School is owned by Lois and Steven Jensen, who are Castle Hills residents; and

WHEREAS, Jensen’s Yamaha Music School will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year and

WHEREAS, Jensen’s Yamaha Music School has helped countless students learn how to sing, play the piano, play the guitar, play the guitar, and trained Yamaha instructors; due to their longevity, they are now teaching second generation students; and

WHEREAS, Lois and Steven Jensen have been active serving as musical director at various San Antonio-area churches, helped direct numerous choirs, and directed musical theatre productions; and

WHEREAS, the City of Castle Hills is proud of Lois and Steven Jensen for their many contributions to the community and area and of Jensen’s Yamaha Music School for their success and accomplishments as a small business.

This morning, a sinkhole near the Danube and Riveira intersection was identified. The sinkhole was reported to SAWS since it is likely due to a fill material washout caused by a leaking water or sewer line. The area was inspected to verify the area that needed to be marked off for safety. We will update on the repair

Road work on Moss and Sunflower (between Lockhill-Selma and NW Military HWY) is scheduled to commence this week. The contractor notified staff that they will be placing notices at the properties today and tomorrow to give residents advanced notice.
