“I will always defend the right to free speech, but I will also never remain silent in the face of vile hatred and lies.

Kanye West has the right to free speech, but I have an obligation to denounce his outrageous, hate-filled rants. When someone repeatedly spreads antisemitic hate, praises N***s, denies the Holocaust, and tries to intimidate our Jewish community, we have a responsibility to call it out directly and forcefully—and I am.

I do not support Kanye West’s planned performance here in San Antonio. We should never provide a public platform to, or allow the use of public property by, a Holocaust denier and well-known antisemite like Kanye West.

Our Jewish community deserves to know that we stand with them today and every day. Hate and intolerance have no place in Bexar County, and I remain committed to supporting our Jewish neighbors and friends and condemning antisemitism in all its forms.”

West has been banned from entering the United Kingdom and Australia over previous antisemitic remarks. In San Antonio, however, West's July Fourth show is reportedly on track to sell out.

From the ski slopes to everyday life, some of my favorite moments are the ones spent with my three kids.

The years go by quickly, and my time serving away from home in the Marine Corps taught me to never take these opportunities for granted. I'm thankful for every chance to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Bexar County was proud to host this year's South Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association Annual Conference!

It was great to join county leaders from across South Texas for discussions on regional governance, legislative updates, and best practices that help us better serve our residents. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week a success.

While Bexar County continues to spend MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars each year housing inmates in other counties due to jail overcrowding, Commissioners Court REFUSED to support a common sense public safety investment for political reasons.

I supported Constable Vojvodich's request to use existing salary savings to purchase these two motorcycles for Pct. 3. They would improve response times, enhance traffic enforcement, and provide a cost-effective tool for keeping our roads safe.

As an elected official, Constable Vojvodich understands the needs of his precinct and how to best serve his constituents.

It's frustrating to see a simple request for two motorcycles face this level of scrutiny when it took more than a year to get a meaningful public discussion about the jail overcrowding crisis onto the agenda.

We should be focused on solving our biggest problems—not micromanaging other elected officials.

A constable wants to use leftover salary funds to buy two motorcycles for deputies that enforce traffic law. But with Bexar County bracing for budget cuts, commissioners weren’t sold.

🔈‼️REMINDER: Last Chance to Take our Pct. 3 Bexar County Budget Survey!

Bexar County is facing a significant budget deficit in the coming fiscal years due to a decrease in the amount of revenue from property tax collection. I encourage you to take our 5-minute survey and make your priorities known as we prepare to make some tough decisions.

The Warrior Games are here in Military City, USA! 🇺🇸

Today, I had the privilege of attending the Warrior Games track and field event at UTSA, where I met members of the Marine Corps team and helped hand out medals during the kids’ race.

Hosted by the U.S. Army TRADOC, the Warrior Games bring nearly 200 wounded, ill, and injured service members together to compete in adaptive sports as part of their recovery journeys.

The games continue through Friday and are free and open to the public. I encourage everyone to come out and support these incredible athletes while they’re here in San Antonio.

The Pct. 3 team was proud to attend this year’s Army Ball on Saturday celebrating the 251st Birthday of the United States Army! 🇺🇸

A special highlight was bringing Paige and Kyle, who had the opportunity to meet Medal of Honor recipient James McCloughan. His courage, sacrifice, and service are an inspiration to us all.

As a Marine, it’s always a privilege to celebrate alongside my Army brothers and sisters.

What a season for our San Antonio Spurs!

While the championship didn't go our way, our city has so much to be proud of. This young team battled its way to a Western Conference Championship and showed the grit, talent, and potential that point toward an incredibly bright future.

One of the best parts of this playoff run was watching San Antonio rally behind the Silver and Black. From packed watch parties to conversations all across our community, it was a reminder of how sports can bring a city together.

We'll be back next year, in the meantime, congratulations on an incredible season—and as always, Go Spurs Go!

Always working to create new opportunities for Bexar County.

I recently spent time in California meeting with leaders from Hitachi and NVIDIA to better understand emerging technologies and the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

AI presents both opportunities and challenges, and as Bexar County continues to grow, I'm always looking for ways to attract investment, support job creation, and position our region for long-term success.

Stay tuned for more to come.
