🍃❤️ Making a Difference, One Yard at a Time ❤️🍃
A huge thank you to the volunteers from Connect Church for spending part of their Day of Service helping older adults in our community!

This dedicated team tackled major yard cleanup projects at the homes of two Aging Resources clients, transforming outdoor spaces that had become difficult to maintain. Their hard work not only improved the appearance of these properties but also helped create safer, more accessible environments for the homeowners.

Acts of service like these help older adults continue living independently while maintaining pride in their homes.

We are grateful for the generosity, compassion, and servant hearts demonstrated by the Connect Church volunteers. Your willingness to give your time and energy made a lasting impact on two of our neighbors.

Thank you for showing what community is all about! 🌿🏡

If you or your group would like to volunteer contact Aging Resources at 303-814-4300

🎉💛 Feeling the LOVE for our volunteers! 💛🎉

Our April 22nd Volunteer Appreciation Event was full of smiles, connection, and celebration—and we couldn’t have done it without these amazing community partners:

The Cake Company provided cupcakes that disappeared FAST. Kroenke Sports Charities, CORE Electric Cooperative , Legacy Village of Castle Pines and Life At Home donated exciting raffle prizes that had all our volunteers hoping to hear their name called!
The cookies from Eileen's Colossal Cookies - Highlands Ranch, CO were of course a COLOSSAL hit.
The excitement continued with 3 raffle prizes from Home Instead and gifts cards from MedRide and King Soopers Ridge Road Castle Rock.
In addition to all the wonderful prizes and delicious treats, all our volunteers received fun and useful gifts made possible by generous donations from the Ent Credit Union Parker Cottonwood and Castle Rock locations.

🙌 To our volunteers: you are the heart of what we do.
🤝 To our partners: thank you for helping us show them just how much they matter.

“Older adults are the wisdom keepers of our community—and we all benefit when we stay connected to that wisdom.”

As we kick off Older Americans Month, take a moment to hear from Karie Erickson, founder and executive director of Aging Resources of Douglas County.

Karie shares a powerful perspective on how we should view aging—and the incredible wisdom older adults bring to our communities.

At ARDC, we see that wisdom every day. It’s in the stories shared, the resilience shown, and the lives that continue to shape those around them.

When we support older adults, we’re not just meeting needs—
we’re strengthening our entire community by keeping that wisdom connected and valued.
