The Senior Life Expo is happening tomorrow at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, and we hope you'll join us for this exciting FREE community event.

Volunteer Appreciation Week is officially a wrap! ❤️

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating and recognizing all of our incredible 2025 volunteers. From welcoming guests, driving shuttles/specials/events and helping at events to supporting programs behind the scenes, these amazing individuals are the heart of what we do.

These are the faces of just a few of our 2025 volunteers, the people who make it all possible. Their time, kindness, energy, and dedication help create a stronger, more connected community every single day.

Last year alone, this incredible volunteer corps contributed more than 28,000 volunteer hours. That averages out to over 2,300 hours every month. Put another way, that’s the equivalent of roughly 13 full-time staff positions. And using current national estimates for the value of volunteer service, that represents well over one million dollars in contributed time and talent to this organization and this community.

Thank you to each and every volunteer for all that you do. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Fresh from seed and grown with care by our Garden Club!

Due to a bountiful harvest this year, we’re offering a surplus of healthy tomato plants for sale. Stop by and take home a little garden goodness while supplies last! You can stop by the office after 12:00 pm on Tues., 5/26, and then every day after during normal business hours (8:30 am-4:30 pm).

Tomato Plant Sale Next Week at CRSAC!

The Garden Club has an abundance this year. All of these have been started from seed. Some of the varieties include Cherry, Chocolate Cherry, Beef Steak, and medium size (including Summer Girl, Roma & Sweet Aroma).

There will be some pepper varieties as well, including Bell Pepper, Poblano, Jalapeno, Small Sweet Peppers, Cupid, Eros, Born to be Mild & Marconi Red.

They will be on sale at the Center during normal business hours, while supplies last.

The money will go back to the Garden Club to continue to provide fresh produce to seniors.
