Below find preliminary stats for our "1000 Year flood event"

These numbers do not include any repairs or maintanence to equipment or gear.

Also NOTE that many members took time away from work and more importantly their Family. On behalf of Car 1 and Car 2 thanks for a job well done. Last time we had an "event" like this was the flooding from Hurrican Irene. Prior to that was the major storm, back when Perry Finkle was Chief and Keith Robinson was Mayor. (I'm showing my age with that storm).

(Village of Castleton message) This is an update to an earlier message. Repair crews have been able to repair one pump and bring it back online, which is allowing the Village to very slowly begin to replenish the water in the water tower. We will take continuous readings at the tower to insure that the repair has been successful and that we are able to completely and continuously replenish the water supply in the tower going forward. Once the tower is refilled, we will sample the water ongoing until such time as the RENSCO DOH can certify that the water is safe to drink without treatment. We have turned a corner successfully and we appreciate the cooperation and patience shown by our Village residents. You are making it possible to recover successfully from this difficult event.
