ANNOUNCEMENT! The Schodack Police Department and the Schodack Police Benevolent Association ARE NOT seeking monetary donations by phone.

We have just been made aware that residents are receiving phone calls from an unknown entity identifying themselves as members of the Schodack Police Department. These individuals are requesting donations by phone and stating that they will mail back a receipt for the donation.

Please know that the Schodack Police Department does not solicit monetary donations and will never ask for donations by phone.

The Schodack Police Benevolent Association does conduct an annual mailer fundraiser, which many residents are familiar with, but donations are not requested by phone.

If you receive one of these calls, do not provide personal or financial information. Please share this information with you family, friends and neighbors. Thank you for helping us keep the community informed.

Our first round of paving wrapped up yesterday with Sally K and Herman K Lanes. Also completed this week were New Road and Carney Road.

More paving is scheduled for later this summer.

Our thanks to our paving partners and our highway crew for the assistance.

Highway crew continues to work on expansion of parking area. They are currently removing stubs and under brush in preparation of welcoming Schodack Community Market in June.

The Kobelco SK140 excavator, being operated by Joe Cavanaugh is on lease from Abele Tractor. A portion of this machine's rental profits will help support breast cancer treatments and cure efforts.

Work continues this week to prepare an additional parking area as the Town of Schodack Community Market prepares to move to the Schodack Town Hall this coming season.
