Offender: Valerie Greene, Age 32 Transient

On May 6th, 2026, Valerie Greene was arrested in Rutland and arraigned in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of embezzlement. In February 2026, Castleton Police was contacted by the owner of Beverage King regarding an employee who was suspected of embezzling money from the business, approximately $18,000 over the course of several years. After a lengthy investigation, probable cause was established and an arrest warrant was issued for Greene. Greene was located in Rutland on May 6th and was arraigned in Rutland Superior Court to answer to the charge of embezzlement.

Offender: Rosemarie Princiotta, Age 43 of Proctor VT

On May 18th, 2026, Rosemarie Princiotta was arrested in Proctor and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of Larceny. Castleton Police was dispatched to Northstar Self Storage on Route 4A West in Castleton for a female actively stealing from storage units. Through the use of security cameras, Princiotta was identified by Police. Princiotta was located in Proctor by the Rutland County Sheriff's Department and cited for the offense, her vehicle was seized by Police pending a search warrant and additional charges are pending.

Offender: Jordan Persson, Age 22 of Jamaica, VT

On May 9th, 2026, Jordan Persson was arrested in Castleton and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of Driving under the influence-alcohol. Castleton Police arrested Persson several hours prior for DUI and received a call that Persson had left the sober party whom he was released to earlier. Persson was located operating his vehicle on Main Street in Castleton and subsequently taken into custody. Persson was transported to the Castleton Police Station for processing and provided a breath sample of .115%. Persson was cited to appear at a later date for DUI.

Offender: Jordan Persson, Age 22 of Jamaica, VT

On May 9th, 2026, Jordan Persson was arrested in Castleton and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of Driving under the Influence-Alcohol. Castleton Police stopped Persson for a motor vehicle violation and subsequent to the stop Officers detected signs of impairment. Persson was taken into custody and transported to the Castleton Police Station for processing where he provided a breath sample of .166%. Persson was released and cited to appear on the charge of DUI.

Offender: Elizabeth Dempster, Age 33 of Castleton, VT

On May 8th, 2026, Elizabeth Dempster was arrested in Castleton and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of Unlawful Trespass. Castleton Police were called to Dollar General on Main Street in Castleton by employees reporting that Dempster was on the property, after being previously issued a notice against trespass for the store. Dempster was arrested and released on a citation to appear for unlawful trespass.

On April 28th, 2026, Terisha Klayer was arrested in Castleton and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of operation without owner's consent. Klayer took a vehicle without the consent of the owner from an address in Castleton and later returned the vehicle after being contacted by Castleton Police. Klayer was arrested upon returning the vehicle and was released on scene with a citation to appear for operation without owner's consent.

Offender: Jacob Plankey, Age 42 of Castleton, VT

On May 2nd, 2026, Jacob Plankey was arrested in Castleton and cited to appear in Rutland Superior Court-Criminal Division to answer to the charge of negligent operation. Plankey was stopped by Castleton Police on North Road in Castleton, while operating a motor vehicle at 81 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone. Plankey was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for violating local speed limits and was released on scene with a citation to appear for negligent operation.
