Chabot School Garden The Chabot School Garden is a unique, beautiful, completely organic garden. It's acclaimed and award-winning design is a model of caring for our environment.

The Garden was spearheaded and designed by, and is currently directed by David King and Barbara King. It is a unique environment comprised of eight sub-gardens: Butterfly, Caterpillar Host, Sensory, Herb, Medicinal, Prehistoric, California Native and Edible. The small pond has solar powered waterfalls. The original design rain barrel system can reclaim and store up to 385 gallons of rain water in

a moderate one hour rain. Chabot Garden is an Official Wildlife Habitat of the National Wildlife Federation, an Official Monarch Way Station and and a Certified Bay Friendly Garden. It was the subject of a 30 minute cable TV special that aired extensively in the Bay Area and received special commendation from the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. We are on School grounds so call for a free tour!
