June 10 lumberman's Day.museum open

Many historic items on display at the Museum in Catawba. Various categories. Farm tools, military clothing, Homemaker items, one room school info, family history scrapbooks, and so much more.

Regular monthly meetings for the Jump River Valley Historical Society (JRVHS) for 2023 will be the first Tuesday of each month and will be held at the Catawba Municipal Building on Highway 8 Catawba. Potluck at 5:30 p.m. and meetings will begin at 6 p.m. We have many interesting displays in the museum to the east of the hall. We would like to have many more members in our group. We need volunteer hosts for the museum this summer. Museum is open 2 Saturdays each month beginning in June. The 2ND and 4TH Saturday. If we had more volunteers, we could be open more days during the summer. We have a very interesting framed Veteran's Quilt on display. There are 43 Veteran's names of the quilt which was made by Ann Perger from the Town of Harmony! Currently looking for names of living veterans who were from the Catawba/Kennan area. We would like to know the branch of service of these veterans and the years they served. Please consider helping with this project.

Saturday, June 25, Scott Wittman, author will be at the museum to sign and sell his book Finding Dairyland, in search of Wisconsin's Vanishing Heritage. Stop in and meet Scott and view our many displays.
