** UPDATE ** The Shuman Street part of the electric upgrade will begin between 10:30 am and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday October 15th. As this phase is complete, TLM Electric will be moving to N. & S. 3rd Streets the Borough will do it's best to post this transition time to give residents a little preparation before the power goes off grid. Thank you for your patience and understanding for this much needed upgrade.

As this phase is complete and TLM Electric will be moving to Shuman and N. & S. 3rd Streets the Borough will do it's best to post this transition time to give residents a little preparation before the power goes off grid. TLM Electric will be performing the upgrades to Catawissa Borough’s power grid on Wednesday October 14th. The streets affected will be N. 2nd, 2-1/2 and Pine Streets. On Thursday October 15th TLM will be doing upgrades for N. & S. 3rd, Mill and Shuman Streets. These upgrades will be done weather permitting.

The 3-4 hours of down time is a MAXIMUM estimate so you can be prepared. TLM Electric is hoping actual down time will be in the 1– 2-hour range. All 3-phase businesses will not be affected.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, this temporary disruption is necessary to complete a critical upgrade.

UPDATE on testing and upgrades to Catawissa Borough's power grid: The dates of 9/29 -10/2 (That's Tuesday and Friday if weather permits) will be the days of evaluation of the electric grid. TLM will be mapping out where and what needs to be done.
10/6 & 10/7 (Tuesday and Wednesday, again, weather permitting) will be possible days of updating/repairing of the electrical components in the Borough. They will be trying to the best of their ability to determine what sections will be out, and on which days. They will also let us know if more time is needed. The 3-4 hours of down time is just a MAXIMUM estimate so you can be prepared. TLM Electric is hoping actual time down will be in the 1–2 hour range.

- NOTICE TO CATAWISSA BOROUGH RESIDENTS:

Please be advised, TLM Electric along with our borough crews, will be conducting essential testing and upgrades to Catawissa's power grid from Tuesday (09/29/2026) through Thursday (10/02) continuing work on Tuesday (10/05) through Thursday (10/08) between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM daily.

What to Expect: Intermittent Outages: Sections of the borough will experience power interruptions while work is underway.

Duration: If your section of the town is effected during this time, expect that your power may be disconnected for 3-4 hours until work is completed.
