Today was the first day of summer school for Nike and Robertsville students! We always enjoy coming together and seeing friends we don’t normally get to attend school with. Although the weather was rainy this morning, it turned out to be sunny for most of the day, giving students a chance to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

We also took time to practice important safety drills and get settled into our summer routines.

Day 1 is in the books! We can’t wait to see everyone again tomorrow. Have a great evening, Nike Scouts and Robertsville Braves! ☀️📚🎉

Ms. Raeker, our amazing Counselor, was awarded the MVR-III PERSEVERANCE award at the district meeting on Fridays for her steadfast, resilient, and unwavering commitment to shaping the very heart of our Nike school community.

Ms. Raeker defines perseverance through her daily, intentional actions and a deep commitment to student success. Every single morning, she can be found greeting students at the door ensuring that from the moment they arrive, every child feels seen, valued, and welcomed.

As a counselor, Ms. Raeker is remarkably skilled at building trusting relationships, particularly with students navigating challenging behaviors.

Where others might find discouragement, Ms. Raekee finds opportunity. She remains endlessly patient, actively seeking feedback and tirelessly adjusting her strategies until she finds the right way to reach a child. She never, ever gives up on a student’s ability to succeed.

Beyond her daily check-ins and celebration of student growth, Ms. Raeker is a vital anchor for our families—constantly working behind the scenes to secure essential resources and bridge the connection between home and school. Her steady, caring presence provides a safe space for our students and an irreplaceable support system for her colleagues, strengthening the entire Nike Elementary building. Thank you, Ms. Raeker for being a true champion for our students.
