England Hill Fire Department will be hosting a 3-hour vehicle prop and a 3-hour flammable gas prop on Saturday, June 27th, beginning at 9:00 am. All departments are welcome to attend.

Last weekend, England Hill, along with multiple other mutual aid and first-due agencies, participated in airport disaster training. Although this is something we hope to never have to respond to, it is necessary to stay up to date on incident training like this.

We would like to say congratulations to one of our own. Madison is a 2026 graduate from Boyd County High School. Madison will be attending the paramedic course at Mountwest this fall.

A structure fire incident has prompted a multi-department response on Watkins Street, positioned outside the city limits of Catlettsburg. Watkins Street and Center Street (US-23) in Catlettsburg may experience congestion due to ongoing water shuttle operations involving tankers. England Hill received the alert at 06:35 this morning.

The fire involves a reported vacant residence.

5:00pm Update: All units are clear of the scene and the interstate is opened to normal traffic.

🛑TRAFFIC ADVISORY🛑

I-64 Eastbound in the area of the 189MM is currently down to one lane due to a Single vehicle accident. The interstate is currently experiencing very low visibility due to the snow along with very slick roads.

Pay attention to surroundings and prepare for heavy congestion on the interstate.
