Hi, my name is Devon Reams. For close to 7 years I’ve served my community as an Assistant Boyd County Attorney. In this position I’ve gained extensive experience in Boyd District Court being involved in more than 5,000 cases. I represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky in cases involving juvenile dependency, neglect, and abuse prosecutions; DUIs; traffic offenses; misdemeanor criminal offenses, including thefts, assaults, domestic violence, and drug related charges; and guardianship disability cases. I have the hands-on experience in all areas of District Court that a qualified candidate for District Judge needs. I ask you to vote for me and support me in my pursuit of being elected the first female judge in Boyd County.
Boyd County is where I was born and raised. I attended Holy Family elementary school, Ashland Verity Middle School, and graduated from Ashland Paul Blazer High School. I went away to college in Lexington, KY where I attended Transylvania University and was a member of their women’s soccer team, the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity, among other clubs. After graduating from Transy, I moved to Jacksonville, Florida to attend law school at FCSL where I graduated from in 2010 with a certificate in Legal Research and Writing. In July 2010, I took the Florida Bar exam and became licensed to practice law in Florida. A few months later, I took the Kentucky Bar exam and became licensed to practice law in Kentucky. I began my legal career as a licensed attorney here in Boyd County in 2010.
Boyd County is where I choose to raise my family and pursue my passion for helping others navigate the legal process and the court system. In addition to serving as an Assistant Boyd County Attorney, I’ve owned my own small legal business, Reams Law Office, since 2015. I am also a long standing member of the CAReS Board of Directors. Boyd County is my home and I would be honored to continue serving my community as your next Boyd District Judge.
