Our annual Labor Day Parade is rolling through town Monday, September 7th at 10:00 AM. Come line the streets, wave at your neighbors, and celebrate everything that makes this river city special. Bring the kids, bring your chairs, and get ready for candy, floats, and community spirit as far as the eye can see.

Bring your hometown pride to the Catlettsburg Riverfront Friday, September 4th at 5:00 PM, because the Mayor's Reception is kicking off Labor Day weekend! 🧡 🖤

Mayor Faith Day is inviting the whole community out for an evening of music, neighbors, and river views you can't get anywhere else. Nickell Alley Band is bringing the tunes, and it's completely free and open to everyone, so there's no reason to miss it.

An evening to remind us all why we love calling Catlettsburg home. Bring your family, bring your lawn chairs, and come be part of it.

At its peak in the late 1800s, Catlettsburg was one of the largest hardwood lumber markets in the world. 🌳

Logs floated down the Big Sandy River from the mountains of eastern Kentucky and West Virginia, and Catlettsburg was where they landed, where the deals got made, and where millions of board feet of timber moved into American homes and industries. It was a serious operation, where real money changed hands and the river was genuinely working for a living.

Most people driving through today wouldn't guess it. But it happened right here in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
