Sheriff Reihs and Deputy Webster ran radar in several areas this evening to address speeding complaints and increase visibility.

Locations included:
Dog Ridge
Meade Springer Road
Shopes Creek
Hoenig Drive
Main Street Westwood
New Buckley
Ashby Drive

Deputies will continue targeted traffic enforcement in these and other high-complaint areas throughout Boyd County.

After 23 years of service, Deputy David White is officially retired from the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department.

Over the past few days, the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Russell Police Department and the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC), proudly hosted a Criminal Interdiction Training at the Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) Technology Drive Campus in EastPark.

This training was conducted by Instructors from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and brought together more than 70 law enforcement officers from agencies across the Tri-State.

The Boyd County Sheriff’s Department remains committed to providing our Deputies with advanced training opportunities while networking with regional law enforcement agencies.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ashland Community and Technical College for generously providing the training facility, the Ohio State Highway Patrol for sharing their expertise and instruction, and ROCIC for helping make this outstanding training opportunity possible for these officers.
