Thank you to Sgt. Spencer Beam for taking the time yesterday to help educate two young student drivers at the Catlettsburg Annex parking lot.

While assisting Administrative Staff at the Catlettsburg office, Sgt. Beam observed the students practicing parallel parking and took it upon himself to step out and provide hands-on instruction regarding driver safety. He also worked through several parallel parking drills with the young drivers to help build their confidence and skills behind the wheel.

Acts like this are a great example of community policing and taking the opportunity to positively impact our youth whenever possible. Great job, Sgt. Beam!

Friday evening, we gathered at Boyd County High School for a department photo. Big thank you to Zach Daniels for coming out to take the picture and grabbing some drone footage for us. The school was a great spot for a beautiful backdrop.

As we were finishing up, we ran into a family who was there taking senior photos of their soon to be grad. While talking with them and their photographer, they asked if we could jump in for a photo with the young lady. Thanks to Lindsay Short for taking the photos and taking the time to send them to us.

Big shoutout to Hallie Barnett who is a Boyd County High School senior. Best of luck in everything you do next.

This week we honor current law enforcement officers and pay respect to former law enforcement officers. We are a family and only we know the true sacrifices that come with our career. Thank you to everyone that wears or has worn the badge.

Our department had the pleasure of delivering flowers to some special community members today thanks to a generous donation from Cannonsburg Walmart. Thanks Gail for always giving back to our community.
We were able to deliver to Kingsbrook, Boyd County Nursing and Rehab, Woodland Oaks, UK- Kings Daughters, Pathways, The Journey, Genesis 2, and the Crisis Center.
Thank you Tim Morrison and Nathan with Boyd County Safety for helping us deliver the flowers with your trucks. You all are appreciated.
