There are seven new bestsellers, 56 new audiobooks, six new children's books, and twelve other new books, including 81 that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "Purple State," "InvestiGators: Weather or Not," and "Jujutsu Kaisen, Vol. 3."

Earlier this year I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. I have been recuperating from a successful surgery that got rid of it. (Yay!) Here is how I have used the library during my convalescence.
Before my surgery I picked up some books at the ongoing Used Book Sale in the lobby. I used the SHARE app to request books about cancer and to schedule a variety of books to arrive during my recovery period via the Illinois Heartland delivery system from libraries all over the state. I could renew some of them through the SHARE app as well. My husband Randy drops off the books I have finished (or didn’t care to finish) and picks up new ones. Sometimes I have contacted the library staff person and asked for her to check the books out to me before Randy arrives to expedite the process. Today, Emma even kindly chose some books off the New Book shelf for me when I ran out. (I asked for fluffy, girly fun books and she did a great job!)
I have used the Libby app to read magazines and to listen to a few audiobooks while I did puzzles, which can also be checked out from the library. I have used the Hoopla Digital app for an audiobook too, and also for a couple of Binge Passes which give you unlimited access to a huge selection of items for one week-I chose to do a Great Course one week and puzzle games the next.
I have interacted with the library via several Facebook groups: Catlin Public Library, Coffee Talk for adult programs, Families of Adults With Intellectual Disabilities in Vermilion County Il, and Catlin Library Reading Programs, as well as the website and our weekly Wowbrary email.
I wanted to share how the library has supported me in my healing journey. If you are curious about any of these services, please ask a staff person, respond here or message me. They are available to all of our patrons.

It's time to sign up the kids for Summer Reading at the Catlin Library! We offer Storytimes for families with kids age 3-8 on Thursday mornings July 2, 9, 16, and 23.
