UPDATE 06/12 @ 2:20pm - Davis/Wabash St Intersection is now opened up! Center St is still blocked off due to the low hanging power lines and restoration time is still unknown.

Good Morning!

Portions of E. Center St and Davis/Wabash St. are currently blocked off due to fallen trees from last night's storm. Our crews are unable to help clear them until Ameren arrives to assist as they involve down power lines. This means that restoration and clearance times are unknown as of right now.

Please avoid these areas if at all possible or seek alternate routes.

Thank you for your patience as we work to safely handle these situations.

Hello Everyone! ☺️

What a great weekend to be in Catlin!

Start the fun with going to Cheeseburger Night at the Catlin American Legion tonight from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.🍔

Attend the Cruise In at The Stor tomorrow night to kickoff the festivities this weekend from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. 🚘

The 14th Annual Strawberry Festival is on Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the Park filled with yummy strawberry treats, food and vendor galore and fun for everyone. 🍓

The Catlin Historical Society Rummage Sale will be on Saturday and you can pick up the map for lots of rummage sales around town starting at 7:00am that day. We’ve been seeing posts pop up all day and our residents are selling some awesome things at their sales this weekend. 🏡

You don’t want to miss out on this fun filled weekend in Catlin!

Hello!

There are currently 9 Active Solicitation Permits.
Connxus - 3 (one expires 06/07, two expire 06/13)
White Oak Construction - 6 (all expire 06/26)

Someone from White Oak has let us know that they only plan to be in town for the next couple of days so if you see them out and about, just ask to see their permits if you’re unsure.

There are currently 3 active permits in the Village for Conxxus. One expires on 6/7 and the other 2 on 6/13.
You should ask to see their permits if they come to your door. They are aware they are to carry them.

❗️JACKSON ST RESIDENTS❗️

A crew will be on-site tomorrow, Wednesday May 13, to work on the sewer main. They will begin at 8:00am. During this time you may notice your toilets/sinks gurgling and the sewer drainage may run slower than normal. We recommend closing your toilet lids as an extra precaution.

The Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing scheduled for tomorrow, May 12th, has been canceled. Once a new date has been selected and confirmed by the Commission, it will be published in the Sidell Reporter and on the Village of Catlin website.
