The Friends of the Library sponsor several special events throughout the year, such as:

• Annual Summer Reading Program
• National Friends of the Library Week
• Hometown Halloween, October 31st

We hold monthly member/board meetings (3rd Thursday of each month, 6pm at the Catoosa Public Library) and host a variety of miscellaneous events, functions and demonstrations, such as:
• DIY Workshops
• V

arious Speakers and Presenters
• Tutoring
• Grant Writing Workshops
• National Friends of the Library Week
• Bunco for Books (2X per year)
• Annual “Whale of a Tale” Artisan Sale
• Annual Breakfast w/ Santa Pancake Breakfast & Pictures w/ Santa

All of our events are family friendly and FUN! We extend the opportunity to you, our Community, to join the Friends of the Library program in helping to support the Catoosa Public Library. Together we can make an impact on the future. Our library is our children's lifeline to a world of knowledge and opportunities! The Friends of the Catoosa Public Library are looking for a few volunteers to help with our Whale of a Tale Sale event this weekend, October 27th. We particularly need a little muscle to help with set-up Saturday morning from 7-9:45am. Also to help with tear down and clean up Saturday from 3-4pm. This is a great opportunity for a high school or college student who needs service hours for a club or scholarship. Please let us know if you can help by replying here or calling Lin at 918-234-2582. The Friends of the Library Book Sale shelves are full! We are having a Buy One Get One Free Paperback Sale for the rest of the week. That's two paperbacks for only 50 cents! Please come and help us make some room. Library hours are Thursday until 7pm, Friday, 9am-3pm, and Saturday, 10am-2pm.
