Good morning, neighbors!
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to several of our local farms, who are really stepping up to support our food pantries here in Catskill and across Greene County.
Our Fresh Produce of the Week is… JALAPEÑO PEPPERS! No salmonella here – these low-calorie, vitamin-rich inflammation-reducers are locally-grown and quality-controlled!!!
Along with jalapeños, today’s produce offerings include a few other pepper varieties, plus tomatoes, cucumbers, local lettuce varieties, Swiss chard, zucchini, corn, onions, potatoes, and beets galore! We also have a great selection of meats today, as well as dairy products, grocery items, beverages, bagels and breads, snacks and treats!
Today’s pantry is provided by the Regional Food Bank in Latham, Athens Community Farm, Story Farms (Catskill), East Durham Farms, (Freehold), Goodies Bagels, and our food rescue partners, Alltown Fresh (Livingston) and . We are fortunate to have the ongoing support of Youth Clubhouse of Columbia-Greene Counties, Feed HV, St. Luke’s Episcopal St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Catskill and our , who are, literally, the backbone of our pantry.
If you’re coming for the first time (or need a reminder):
• PLEASE arrive NO EARLIER than 11am.
• We start giving out numbers at Noon, and pantry shopping starts at 1pm.
• Please be thoughtful of others. This is a difficult time – food is in short supply and there’s only so much to go around.
• Don't be shy: If you need assistance, just ask! (Our volunteers are here to help carry bags, offer suggestions and answer any questions about food items or pantry policy.)
• YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SHOPPING BAGS. If you forget your bags, we can give you a box.
We look forward to your visit!
