Good morning, all!
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and it’s JUNETEENTH! And what better way to celebrate than with nutritious food?
Our “Fresh Produce of the Week” is CAULIFLOWER!!! Cauliflower has been shown to have anti-aging, anti-cancer, and anti-inflammatory benefits. This cruciferous vegetable is low in both carbohydrates and calories. Its high nutritional value makes it a healthy addition to a balanced diet. It can even be prepared as a gluten-free substitute for rice, pasta, potatoes, and wheat flour!
Today we're loaded with cauliflower – as well as zucchini and summer squash, acorn squash, romaine and red leaf lettuce, radishes, yams and potatoes, strawberries and cantaloupes. We also offer a choice of meats, heat-and-eat foods, deli and dairy, breads and bakery items, and staple foods – including some vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
This week's pantry is provided by the Regional Food Bank in Latham, Athens Community Farm, and our food rescue partner, , with ongoing support from Youth Clubhouse of Columbia-Greene Counties, Feed HV, St. Luke’s St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Catskill and our truly amazing team of .
For anyone joining us for the first time (or anyone needing a reminder):

• We start giving out numbers at Noon, and pantry shopping starts at 1pm.
• Please be thoughtful of others. Times are tight for everyone, and there’s only so much to go around.
• Don't be shy: If you need assistance, just ask! (Our volunteers are here to help carry bags, offer suggestions and answer any questions about food items or pantry policy.)
• BRING YOUR OWN SHOPPING BAGS. We are officially out of bags.
We look forward to your visit!
