Our Mission

AGING: To ensure a network of supportive services to assist Greene County’s senior citizens (those age 60 and older) to maintain their dignity and independence within their communities. YOUTH: To help coordinate youth services for children and young people in Greene County, birth to 21 by providing technical assistance to municipalities, private agencies and groups in program development, evaluation, financial planning, program management and training.

Oh what a night . . . Senior Citizen Prom 2026. The event was held at the CHS cafeteria with a delicious meal and music to dance the night away.. The evening started off with appetizers of shrimp cocktail, vegetable platter and cheese and pepperoni prepared by our own chef, Shane Dillon. The main course was Chicken Theresa, Garlic Butter Steak Bites, Salmon in Dill Sauce, and Pasta Primavera catered by Creekside Restaurant. The meal ended with a delicious cheesecake as well as assorted cookies and fruit. Students from CHS served as our friendly waiters/waitresses and fellow students entertained as DJs with the just right touch of music. Named Queen and King of the prom were Marie Bitter and Mike Pirrone. Several attendees proved you're never too old,and got up dancing to many of the musical selections. Thank you to DHS Executive Director for spearheading this idea with the help of CHS students, as well as DHS staff Francesca, Roxanne & Sheila.
