Regarding Crystal Lake: All Local Musicians, Stores, Authors and Artists, alike need support. I think it would tremendously beneficial for the City of Newburgh, to utilize such a beautiful area, as Crystal Lake, to hold concerts, art shows, book signings and Vendor days and fishing days/contests, Holiday events, such as Fairs, Ground Hog Day celebrations, Fourth of July cook-Out and Fireworks, movie days, boating races or leisure rides, neighborhood appreciation day, dancing on the lake, events to raise money in order to build a permanent stage for bands to play on, rent the area out for weddings, etc., maybe a small railroad to take rides through the trails on the lake. I’ll put my dibs in right now for some sort of “Keeper of Lake” position. A chain link gate at the entrance would be an excellent idea. Like Kowawese Park, open a certain hour, closes a certain hour. I can handle that. This way it will keep out the riff-raff.
