Quality Manager Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures including ISO standards and certifications. Also performs product inspections and hosts customer quality related visits.
Key Responsibilities Include:
β’ Assumes role/responsibility as the Quality Manager β NY facility.
β’ Plans, enhances, and maintains a Quality Management System providing continuous improvements to all products manufactured by the organization in order to meet or exceed customer specifications.
β’ Performs inspections of in-process and final product when needed.
β’ Responsible for leading customer audits, FAI and PSI visits.
β’ Monitors deviations/non-compliance and correction/preventative action systems.
β’ Design, implement and maintain zero defect processes and systems to improve or assure quality of component manufacturing.
β’ Communicates data supporting production, engineering and purchasing regarding any issues related to defects in materials or workmanship.
β’ Partner with manufacturing and engineers to ensure quality is maintained.
β’ Coordinate with departments to determine response on corrective actions.
β’ Assures product and process quality by implementing inspection methods for in process and final testing of finished product also process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.
β’ Recommends changes to refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production.
β’ Provides departmental and company leadership promoting the use of key management principles, supervision of direct reports and others related to the quality department function.
Required Qualifications:
β’ ISO experience a must.
β’ Minimum 5 yearsβ experience.

β’ Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and concepts and general business operations.
β’ Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
β’ Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
β’ Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques.
β’ Familiar with ERP and Quality related software.
β’ Possesses interpersonal skills adequate for frequent interface with all levels of the organization.
β’ Ability to effectively communicate, address issues and present information to top management, customers and suppliers.
Compensation commensurate with experience
