When visiting these special places, be sure to practice Leave No Trace ethics and bring along your curiosity - there's always something to discover!😁

As the sun sets on , don't worry, we've got you covered. Every Thursday, Friday, and Sunday throughout the summer we offer a historical candlelight tour of the cave as our last tour of the day. These tours are reservable on recreation.gov with some same day availability that can be purchased at our visitor centers.

Elijah Davidson's story of discovery in 1874 led to many exploratory trips into the unknown. Elijah is said to have entered the cave with only the light of a match. Later exploration of Oregon Caves was by candle lantern similar to the ones that Rangers Kelly and Britney are using. We invite you to join us for one of these special tours this summer. Carry your candle lantern, watch the dancing shadows on the marble walls, and imagine yourself back in time.
