Cole Eberle, a Republican, small business owner, and current Mayor of Cawker City announces his candidacy for Mitchell County Commissioner in District 3. After serving as a Cawker City Council member for 8 years, and as the current Mayor, Eberle is looking forward to pursuing the District 3 County seat and continuing to serve his community.
"I am excited to announce my candidacy and take this next step in my public service career," said Eberle. "We have accomplished a lot of great things here in Cawker City over the last 8 years. My experience on the City Council and as Mayor has provided me with an understanding of tackling large infrastructure projects in a timely fashion while remaining fiscally responsible. I look forward to expanding on this within the county position."
In addition to his previous time as a Council Member, and now current Mayor, Eberle also serves as the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Son's of the American Legion, is an active member of the Glen Elder Methodist Church, and volunteers his time coaching youth baseball and football. He also served as the President of the Cawker City Community Club for multiple years helping to organize the annual Cawker City Picnic.
Cole and his wife Colleen made the decision to move back to Mitchell County in 2012 after the birth of their oldest son. They started what is now Eberle Studios in 2015 and are grateful for all of the opportunities the community has afforded them.
"We love this area, we love Mitchell County and I want to contribute as much as I can to further growing the county and its ability to thrive as a rural leader," said Eberle. "I appreciate what Mitchell County has to offer and has provided myself and my family, and this is a way for me to listen to my fellow Mitchell Countians and represent their views on what the county needs. My door is always open and I welcome input from those I hope to represent."
