At North Vermillion, we believe that being a member of the Falcon Family is about so much more than grades or athletic achievements. It’s about character.
Throughout the school year, our staff members have the opportunity to nominate students for the Falcon Award. This special recognition celebrates students who consistently demonstrate what it means to be a Falcon.
A Falcon Award recipient might be a student who:
💙Shows integrity by doing the right thing—even when no one is watching.
💙 Lends a helping hand to a classmate or staff member.
💙 Demonstrates kindness, respect, and responsibility.
💙 Works hard and sets a positive example
for others.
💙 Makes our school a better place simply through their everyday actions.
These students may never seek the spotlight, but their actions make a difference. They help create the welcoming, supportive culture that defines our school community.
We believe that character matters, and we want to celebrate the students who make North Vermillion a place where everyone feels they belong.
Congratulations to the first three recipients this year:
Kori Hammond: Nominated for being a diligent student, encouraging others to do the same, and consistently paying attention and participating in Biology.
Layla DeMotte: Nominated for inviting a new student to eat lunch with her and helping them feel welcome.
Matthew Wade: Nominated for having a great attitude and persevering even when he was having a tough time.
