Cazenovia Fire Department Proudly serving the Cazenovia area for over 200 years. We have been proudly serving the Cazenovia area for over 200 years.

We are staffed by volunteers and provide the highest quality of professionalism and service that we are held to. We assist CAVAC along with other EMS agencies with first response medical care as well as fire suppression to the greater Cazenovia area as well as Mutual Aid response to surrounding towns and counties. In addition to Fire and EMS we have personnel trained in Search and Rescue, Rope Rescue and Water Rescue.

🚨Treat all alarms as an emergency and evacuate. Don’t train your brain to ignore an alarm.
🚨Follow your escape plan and call 911.
🚨 Fire can be inside walls, Carbon monoxide is odorless and invisible. All unexplained alarms should be investigated.
🚨Check your alarms monthly for battery operation and expiration dates. Smoke alarms are good for 10 yrs.
🚨If you don’t know why your alarms are going off DO NOT IGNORE IT.

Tonight’s drill was “Follow the Handline”.
Firefighters in gear with their masks covered made their way through obstacles, using the handline to find their way out.
Meanwhile, our Operators worked on their aerial ops skills with the ladder truck.

After the fires out- there’s still work to do!
Last night 25 Cazenovia firemen and all of our apparatus, pulled some late hours for a fire and putting all the equipment back in service for the next call.
