Just in time for summer, may we present the newest local history panel, "Lake Life"! On this panel, we celebrate the Lake and the recreation and tourism it supports. With this installation, we also celebrate the completion of the local history corridor panels.

We started almost a decade ago, researching, designing, and installing panels on the Haudenosaunee, John Lincklaen, Cazenovia's founding and early years, local agriculture and industry, transportation, and now the impact of the Lake.

Thank you to staff members Julia Shotzberger, Sharon Cooney, and Pat Hill for their efforts, Kevin Mann for his design and vision, Image Press for their professional installation, and the financial support of our Friends of the Library.

Think this means we're done with new exhibits? Think again! We've got ideas and a plan for how to implement 'em (maybe just after a little break).

If you drove or stopped by the Library in 2025 you may have noticed a project underway in the basement of the original Hubbard Building. What were we doing? We were converting an earthen floor, 19th-Century cellar into usable storage space that will allow us to update how we use other spaces in the Library.

We still have a few finishing touches, but during tonight’s Caz Life social from 5:40-6:10, we invite you to stop in and see the space.

Enjoy some of our “before” photos before appreciating the “after”.

Tonight’s Caz Life social is from 5:30-7pm, in tandem with our monthly gallery reception celebrating the work of our current artists, Jim Marsch and Anna Chernobai.
