Today is cleaning day!! We have a dumpster at the fire house NOW waiting to be filled up!

Crane Township Community Clean-Up Day!

It’s time to clean out those garages, sheds, and basements! Crane Township will hold a Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, October 17, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A dumpster will be available at the Crane Township Cecil Fire Department, 9 Duquesne Street, Cecil, Ohio 45821, for township residents to dispose of unwanted household items.

Please remember that some items cannot be accepted. Unacceptable and prohibited items include: liquids, semi-liquids, semi-solids, tires, barrels, appliances, stumps, yard waste, paint, flammable, explosive or corrosive materials, ashes, and hazardous waste as prohibited by local, county, state, or federal regulations.

We encourage residents to take advantage of this opportunity to tidy up their properties and help keep Crane Township clean and beautiful!

🔥 BURN BAN REMINDER — OHIO 🔥

I feel like now is a great time to remind everyone that Ohio is currently under a burn ban.

The burn ban is in effect October 1st through November 30th, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Please be mindful when burning and make sure you know the rules and restrictions that are currently in place.

For more information, visit the "Ohio Department of Natural Resources — Open Burn Laws" (https://ohiodnr.gov/discover-and-learn/safety-conservation/woodland-management/open-burn-laws?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

You can also contact your local volunteer fire department with any questions or concerns.

Just today, the Paulding County Fire Department was called to two separate fires — one in a ditch line and another that got out of control.

Thankfully, firefighters were there to respond, but these situations are a good reminder of how quickly a fire can get away from us.

🔥 Please use caution. Know the burn restrictions. And if you're unsure whether you can burn, check first.

Help keep our firefighters, families, homes, and communities safe. 🚒
