Warm Blessings hosted a cooling shelter today but will not be open tomorrow.

As such, the City will open the Pritchard Community Center, located at 404 S. Mulberry St., beginning at 10 AM tomorrow, September 2nd. The cooling center will remain open until 6 PM for anyone who needs a reprieve from the heat.

The cooling shelter at Warm Blessings will reopen on Thursday, September 3rd.

The Free/Reduced Lunch application & the opportunity to place funds on a school lunch account are available now. Go to https://www.hardin.kyschools.us/page/my-school-bucks-online-lunch-payment to find both forms. Remember: Only students who DO NOT QUALIFY for free/reduced lunch at NON-CEP schools (list is available in the link) will pay for lunch.

The HCS Summer Meals program provides free meals to any child (the child does not have to attend Hardin County Schools) 18-years-old and younger. The program is funded and provided by the US Department of Agriculture.

Meals start June 3 and go through June 29, 2026.
