This Memorial Day, the Cedar Bluff Police Department pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

We owe an unpayable debt to the heroes who laid down their lives to protect our freedoms, our families, and our way of life. Today, as we spend time with family and friends, let us never forget the true cost of that freedom.

To the families of our fallen service members—especially those within our own community and our law enforcement family—our hearts are with you today. We promise to always remember their names, their courage, and their sacrifice.

Please join us in taking a moment of silence today to reflect on their bravery.

Have a safe and blessed Memorial Day.

🚨 ATTENTION ALL TAZEWELL COUNTY EMS 🚨

It’s National EMS Week 2026, and the Cedar Bluff Police Department wants to officially say: Thank you for cleaning up our messes. 😂

Seriously though, we love our county medics, EMTs, and dispatchers, even if you guys get to sleep in actual beds during a shift while we look for a flat spot in the cruiser.

To the crews at Tazewell County EMS, Richlands, Bluefield WV, Mercy Ambulance, Highlands, Town of Tazewell EMS, and everyone else rolling hot down Route 19 and Route 460 every single day: we see you.

To show our deepest appreciation, we promise to do the following for the rest of the week:
1. We will try really hard not to beat you to the scene just
to steal the patient’s good parking spot.
2. We will actually help you lift the cot instead of just
crossing our arms and looking "tactical" while holding a
flashlight.
3. If we beat you to a scene and there is a dog, we will pet
it first to make sure it’s friendly before you arrive with
the stretcher. You're welcome.

In all seriousness, you all are the real heroes. You run toward the things most people run away from, and you do it with a smile (or at least a very caffeinated smirk). Tazewell County is incredibly lucky to have the best EMS network around.

When you see us out this week, flag us down. We won't give you a ticket, and we might even let you have the last donut. (Key word: might).

Stay safe out there, brothers and sisters in red and blue! 🚑💨🚓

As National Police Week comes to a close, all of us at the Cedar Bluff Police Department want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible community.

Throughout the week, our officers have been absolutely blown away by the outpouring of support, kind words, and thoughtful gifts dropped off at the department. From the delicious meals and treats to the simple handshakes and thank-yous while we were out on patrol, your generosity has truly touched all of us.

We don't just work in Cedar Bluff—we live here, we raise our families here, and we are proud to stand alongside you. It is the absolute honor of this department to protect and serve a community that stands so firmly behind its first responders.

To the local businesses, community groups, and citizens who took the time to make this week special: Thank you. Your support is the fuel that keeps us moving forward every single day.

We’ve got your back, Cedar Bluff, because we know you’ve got ours! 🤝🚔✨
