đźš« STATEWIDE BURN BAN EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 10
The Governor has extended the Open Burn Prohibition for an additional two weeks. The new termination date is 11:59 PM on April 10th.
This means no open burn permits, land management burn permits, or training burn permits may be issued. The Executive Order specifically prohibits fire chiefs from issuing open burn permits and land management burn permits, and it also prohibits the State Fire Marshal’s Office from issuing training burn permits.
Although the order does not specifically mention contained fires such as burn barrels or recreational fires, no open fires should be conducted. Conditions remain dangerous, and any fire that gets out of control can threaten lives, property, and emergency responders.
Nebraska Game and Parks has also confirmed that fires are not permitted on their properties until further notice.
Do not burn. Do not take the risk.
Cedar Bluffs Fire Department is asking everyone to use good judgment and take this seriously. One careless fire can spread quickly and have devastating consequences.
