💧Water is being restored to anyone who was without during maintenance in the next 15-30 minutes. Maintenance is not finished on S Park Street, but water should not have to be shut off to residents again.
Caution⚠️: The water tower is still offline while maintenance finishes and the water system is running on pressure from the wells. You may notice pressure is not as strong during peak usage times. You may also see that there is water coming from two hydrants in town during maintenance. One hydrant is by the park and the park green area will be very saturated, the other is by Pine and King St. It is normal for water to be coming out of the hydrants while the system is running on pressure.

💧Water has been shut off ⚠️for the maintenance repairs. A post will be made when water is restored.
We ask that traffic continue to avoid the area of South Park Street while maintenance is being done.

🛑⚠️Splash Pad Closed: Tuesday, September 1st, no post will be made about reopening, The splash Pad will operate as normal starting Wednesday, September 2nd.
Chemicals need to be balanced. Do not enter the splash pad when the gates are locked, even if the features are running. Running the features is how we balance the chemicals; it is a part of the process. The water is not safe for bathers until the gates are unlocked.

This morning while trying to close vlaves to isolate the water tower for draining, one of the valves would not shut. Tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/1, the valve will be replaced.
The valve replacement will cause water to be shut off temporarily Tuesday, 9/1, on South Park St and East Pine St, around the water tower.
This will also cause traffic congestion on South Park Street for after school pick up, please consider alternate routes in and out of town.

Water Tower Maintenance has started. Things to know:
💧 Water Pressure Fluctuations: Water pressure could fluctuate, dropping during peak morning and evening usage hours.
🪣 Discoloration and Water Quality: Switching to backup wells or changing the direction of water flow often loosens safe, natural mineral sediment inside the water mains.
- If your water looks discolored, let your cold water tap run for 1 to 2 minutes until it clears up.
🛑 Water Restrictions: Because the village is operating purely on backup wells without a stored reserve, overall water capacity will be limited.
-Banned activities: Temporary ban on non-essential water use, such as washing cars, filling pools, or running lawn sprinklers.

📢 Public Notice: Scheduled Water Tower Maintenance & Cleaning starting Monday, August 31 - Friday, September 4th
The Village of Cedar Bluffs Public Works Department and PeopleService Inc will temporarily take the municipal water tower offline for mandatory, routine cleaning, inspection, and chlorination. Hydrant flushing will begin Monday, August 24th.
What can you do during hydrant flushing:
🚰Avoid using tap water - It's best to avoid running tap water, washing machines, or dishwashers during hydrant flushing to prevent staining.
🚿Check faucet screens - If water pressure or volume seems low, check your faucet screens for any trapped particles.
💧Wait for water to clear - Once flushing is complete, allow the water to run for a few minutes to clear any remaining sediment.
👖Wash dark clothes first - If you do laundry, it's recommended to wash dark clothes before lighter colors to avoid potential stains.
