Troop 55

Troop 55 Troop 55 Troop 55 is a Boy Scout Troop in Cedar Falls, Iowa. We meet every Monday night at 6:45 p.m. We are chartered through Orchard Hill Church.

We are back to normal meetings and we encourage any boy or girl who is 11 -18 to come and see what we do. We are a very active Troop and enjoy camping every month, including the winter. We try and do at least one "High Adventure Trip" each year for our older scouts. We are proud of all of our scouts and excited to have over 130 Eagle Scouts.

Congratulations Tayden and Ben, Troop 55 Eagle Scouts, on your high school graduation!

While our weekend campout ended up being a 24 hour stay due to weather in the area Friday night, we made the most of our time! We had lots of fun at Geode state park doing an 8 mile long hike around the lake. When we were halfway done with the hike, we stopped to cook our lunch using the whisper lights. When we got back to our campsite we started making hobo meals for dinner with brownies! We spent a lot of time by the fire pit before all heading to bed.

A fun day for Troop 55. We had 5 scouts who helped set up the orienteering course for the First Class rank. We had 2 scouts who completed the course. Great job to Ryan and Traeger for finishing the requirements. A huge thank you to Liam, Sloan, Derek, Finn and Titus for helping set up the course and taking the scouts through the course. They are working toward the Orienteering Merit Badge and the other scouts are working toward their First Class requirements.
