The Natural Heart of the Metroplex Cedar Hill is a city in Dallas and Ellis counties in the U.S.

state of Texas. Located approximately 16 miles (26 km) southwest of downtown Dallas and is situated along the eastern shore of Joe Pool Lake and Cedar Hill State Park. The population was 45,028 in the 2010 census. Cedar Hill is a suburb of Dallas and is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes the nearby cities of DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster.

The Cedar Hill flag has been on the move again!

This time, longtime Cedar Hill resident Martha Donley took a little piece of home along for the journey, making stops in Seattle, the beautiful waterfalls of Snoqualmie, Washington, and all the way to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada!

Martha has proudly called Cedar Hill home for 17 years, and we love seeing our residents take their Cedar Hill pride with them wherever they go.

Thanks for bringing us along for the adventure, Martha! 💚

An additional four-way stop has been created to help improve safety in our community.

Drivers will now find four-way stop signs at the intersection of N. Roberts Road and Harrington Street.

As everyone gets familiar with the change, please use extra caution when traveling through the intersection and remember to come to a complete stop. Thanks for helping keep Cedar Hill moving safely!

City facilities will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
