This is a great opportunity for residents to learn how to prepare for emergencies and understand the role of first responders in emergency response. You can also meet local organizations at the indoor info booths, check out Fire & Police equipment outside, get valuable home safety information, and enter to win free prizes through exciting giveaways!

The pup community had a great time during the soft opening of this years Paws in the Poolooza at the new Lagoon venue! Next year we plan to go bigger with pawsible vendor opportunities and public advertising.

We do not have a date for next year's pool pawty, but keep a look out on our page and Cedar Hill's calendar of events! Hope to see every pup next year!!

Dixie is one special girl that needs an exceptionally special family. She stole the hearts of her previous two owners, but her Heeler quirks didn’t quite fit with their lifestyle. She absolutely does not like being confined (crates are her arch nemesis) and finds her own fun when left alone in her household. We truly believe that Dixie needs a best pal with experience with working dogs and can provide the enrichment that she needs. Dixie is only seven months with plenty of self growth to do! If you think you are up for the task of entertaining a Heeler for life, Dixie is your girl!

Our Tri-City kitties need MEW! Kittens of all ages are still coming through our doors. Unfortunately, we have a few orphans that cannot eat dry food and rely on canned cat pate to fill their tiny bellies. With this influx, our canned pate stock is almost depleted. Our most recent mama cat would love to help, but she has enough mouths to feed on her own! If you would like to donate, feel free to drop by in person or order from our wish lists below. Our kittens thank you!

Due to the continued excessive heat that Summer has brought upon us, Animal Service Officers are asking for ALL traps to be shut down.

Trapping may resume when temperatures and heat index lower to a safer temperature.

Wow! Check out what our newest lifesaver AJ and Addie have done! Whenever they go to a drive through they check the drive for dropped change! They call this Hidden Treasures and use it to donate to help us help more animals! These kids (and the folks that raised them to show kindness) give us hope for a more humane future❣️

We are scraping the bottom of our dry dog kibble storage containers. Intakes have continued to roll in without any relief in sight. We are asking for YOUR help to fill these hungry bellies.

We would never let our animals go hungry, but donations of food allow us to focus our spending on medical needs and enrichment for the animals in our care!

This one-day MEGA Adoption Event features dogs, cats, and other small furry pets. All adoption fees will be $25 or less and include spay/neutering, microchipping, and rabies and core vaccinations!

Today is a perfect day to plan and prepare for the festivities ahead! Every year shelters across the nation see an influx of four-legged friends due to getting spooked by fireworks, parties, and more!

We are challenging you to make a plan TODAY! Even the most brave of pets can get spooked by sudden loud noises, large gatherings/ parties, and other celebration activities.

Pet not microchipped? We can do that! No appointment needed!
Pet a bit anxious? Call your vet TODAY for advice on calming collars, thunder vests, or other medical assistance.
Going out to celebrate? Try boarding your animal friend for a few days or while you plan to be out of the house. Don't want to board? Crate! Some pups may need to adjust, but it is well worth the safety measure!
