MEDIA RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

UPDATE AS OF 7/27/2023:

The suspect involved in the shooting from July 25, 2023, Bryan McGee, has been charged with Attempted Capital Murder of a Peace Officer.

Updated Release from 7/26/2023:

The suspect involved in the shooting remains in critical condition at this time. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Additional charges are pending. He has been identified as: Bryan McGee, a 34-year-old male from Glenn Heights, Texas.

McGee’s ex-girlfriend worked at the Methodist Family Health Center. McGee recently made threats towards her, and this appears to be a planned attack.

Review of the in-car and body camera video shows that the suspect fired at officers and officers returned fire. At one point, the suspect dropped the firearm on the ground and the shooting stopped. The suspect then picked up the firearm, and officers re-engaged the suspect to stop the threat.

Officers then safely approached the vehicle, removed the suspect, and immediately began providing life saving measures.

There were additional weapons and ammunition inside of the vehicle.

In order to be as transparent as possible, a portion of the video was released to media today.

🔥 PSA: Fireworks are Illegal and Dangerous. Don't Risk A $2000.00 Fine! ! 🔥

🔥 Cedar Hill residents, please be aware: The use of fireworks are strictly prohibited within our city limits. Not only is using them illegal, but they also pose serious dangers, especially in hot weather. Here's what you need to know:

1️⃣ Stay Safe: Fireworks can cause injuries, property damage, and even loss of life. Don't put yourself or others at risk.

2️⃣ Grass Fire Hazard: Dry conditions make grass fires highly likely. Lighting a firework could start a large-scale blaze that endangers homes, wildlife, and our environment.

3️⃣ Report: If you see fireworks being used within city limits, report it to the Cedar Hill Fire and Police Southwest Regional Dispatch Center at 972-223-6111 .

🙏 Let's Celebrate Responsibly! 🙏

Choose safer alternatives to enjoy the summer season. Attend authorized public firework displays and spread awareness about the risks. Help us keep Cedar Hill safe and free from fire hazards!

For everyone in Cedar Hill and area who are either law enforcement or the family of those serving I post this song and video for you. Having worked in corrections as a chaplain for 4 to 5 years you can bet I have your back whether you police in the US or Canada. Having family who have also been first responders serving as EMTs I know sometimes you are called out to war-zones and nightmares that you carry with you...long after you clear your shift. Sending you love, encouragement, and support from Canada...
This has been happening in our community for a long time now. Due to the bizarre nature of this system I've not spoken on it because nobody would have believed me. That was my failure. This is a hill worth dying on. When it starts happening to you... you WILL know it; I hope that my efforts here in extending myself will help you through it and perhaps facilitate a situation where you do not have to go at it alone as I have done for years.
Godspeed & God bless you all

"Were going to roll out an army of gang stalkers across America to mess with people, to track people, to follow people, and to make their lives a general hell to live in every day. They do it covertly, you would have to do it in a way that is not noticeable to the general public but is noticeable to the target. They want the target to know they are being tracked to have the maximum psychological impact. The point of the system is to convince everyone that the target is crazy."
