⛈️🍂 North Texas Weather Is Changing Again! 🍂⛈️
After a prolonged stretch of hot, dry weather and the heavy rainfall we experienced earlier this month, Mother Nature has another change of plans for North Texas!
A strong cold front is moving into our area this evening, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms, gusty winds, and a significant drop in temperatures heading into the weekend.
While the strongest storms are expected west and northwest of the Metroplex, Cedar Hill could still see some storm activity as the front moves through. Winds will become a bigger concern Friday, with gusts potentially reaching 40–45 mph across parts of North Texas!
🚒 A few reminders from your Cedar Hill Fire Department:
🌧️ Take It Slow! Wet roads and reduced visibility can make driving hazardous. Allow extra travel time and increase your following distance.
🌊 Turn Around, Don't Drown! Following the significant rainfall earlier this month, remember that low-water crossings and flood-prone roadways can become dangerous quickly during heavy downpours.
💨 Batten Down the Hatches! Secure patio furniture, trash cans, Halloween decorations, and other loose outdoor items before the stronger winds arrive.
⚡ Keep an Eye on the Sky! Stay weather-aware, monitor local forecasts, and have a way to receive weather alerts overnight.
🍂 Break Out Those Jackets! Friday's temperatures are expected to remain in the 60s, with even cooler mornings ahead this weekend!
