Hello CR Cougar Nation!
I have purposely waited to send this final message because it wasn't a reality until just a few days ago. To let you all know, I have been transferred to another school in Alpine School District. Starting officially on July 1, I will be at Foothill Elementary in Orem. This came as a complete surprise to me as I was looking forward to continuing for as many years as possible at Cedar Ridge. I am feeling bitter sweet in that I am always excited for new adventures, but I am also saddened that my time at Cedar Ridge has come to an end after only three years. Please know how much I will miss all of you; staff, students, and community. You made me feel welcome and I felt completely supported as a principal. You are all amazing and Cedar Ridge will continue to thrive because you all will make it so.
Please welcome Carl Stubbs who will be replacing me at Cedar Ridge. Mr. Stubbs is very excited to take the reigns at Cedar Ridge and I am very happy he was chosen. Mr. Stubbs said, "I am excited to be part of the Cedar Ridge family, home of the Cougars, and to work with the students, staff and parents. I loved my experiences in my past schools and I can’t wait to get to know everyone at Cedar Ridge.
“I appreciate the trust that is given to me by the parents of our students and I look forward to the opportunity to build relationships with our teachers and community that will support the school in its goals. I love the strong focus on academic excellence that is present at Cedar Ridge Elementary School. I can’t wait to be part of this process, and to learn and participate in the other traditions at Cedar Ridge.”
Cedar Ridge is in good hands with Mr. Stubbs as principal! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your summer and please say hello if you see me out in public. I will always remember my time at Cedar Ridge. and go make a ruckus, CR Cougar Nation!
I love you all!
