Yesterday, we had the pleasure of touring L&Z Tool & Engineering in Watchung alongside U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler.

L&Z’s story is one of New Jersey manufacturing tradition. Founded in 1952, the family business has grown across four generations while building a reputation for craftsmanship and precision in the mold building industry. We recently joined Senator Andy Kim and manufacturing leaders at Warren County Community College for a roundtable focused on the issues and opportunities manufacturers are navigating firsthand.

The discussion touched on workforce shortages, strengthening apprenticeship programs, advanced manufacturing, and opportunities for greater collaboration between the federal and state levels.

We were glad to have Weiss-Aug, ZaGO Manufacturing, County College of Morris, and Magna-Power Electronics among the voices participating in the conversation.
