Dear Hanover Families,

Due to the widespread power outages and hazardous road conditions caused by this week's storm, tonight’s Back to School Night and school on Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14, have been canceled.

This decision gives us time to fully assess every building to make sure they are safe and ready for students, allows our community time to clear and clean roads and restore traffic signals, and gives families time to take care of any issues at home, including power restoration.

We are currently anticipating that students will return on Monday, August 17.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility this week. We know this storm has created challenges for many of our families, and the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

Cedar Lake residents interested in serving on the Park Board. There is a Democrat opening. They meet the 1st Thursday of the month at 530 pm. You need to apply at the Town Hall by Friday at 4 pm. You need an ID.
