The thrust of the Franklin Middle School is to create a setting for learning that is specifically designed to meet the educational social needs of young people in grades 6, 7 and 8. A middle School offeres a gradual profression between life in Elementary School and High School. The purpose of Franklin Middle School is to provide this unique educational experience for the young people it serves. To
carry out its philosophy, Franklin Middle School places high priority on the following goals for students:
Acquisition of basic skills and knowledge
Development of a positive self concept
Exploration
Development of a sense of belonging
