May is ending today but the work Rep. Ehlert puts in isn’t. See a bit of what she’s been up to this month as she continues to be present and out connecting, engaging, listening, learning and supporting Iowa House District 79.

Thank you to St. Paul’s Education Task Force for standing up for public education.

Current and former educators formed the St. Paul’s Education Task Force to examine the issues, explore how the Methodist faith calls them to action, plan ways to support educational initiatives that align with their UM principles, and determine how public education strengthens the community.

I was able to attend part 2 of their event. It was wonderful to see a packed room and hear from so many advocates this morning!

Having great conversations at the doors today in House District 79!

Hearing a lot of support for our public schools today, heard concerns about energy, workers rights and increasing prices. Empathy for rising childcare costs for young families and had a conversation about assisted su***de (send your thoughts if you have any on that topic, first time that’s came up at the doors).
