Artivists of Iowa is building a collective of artists, organizers, and changemakers committed to the ongoing fight for liberation, and we want you with us.

While we are based primarily out of Cedar Rapids, we are accepting applicants from anywhere in Iowa!

We’re currently welcoming folks interested in stepping into executive roles, as well as general members and volunteers who are ready to collaborate, create, and take action. Whether your medium is visual art, music, writing, performance, or community organizing, there’s a place for you here.

Freedom Fighters 🖤🤎

We were honored to showcase another collection during the fashion month!!

After countless hours and very long nights, our collection finally came together, and we showcased looks inspired by and in honor of contemporary and historical revolutionaries.

Our work exists because, and only because, of the tireless efforts of those who came before us, and those who live in the struggle and educate us.

Those who have fought and continue to fight against oppression, colonization, and genocide — their stories and their accounts are what we look to for guidance.

Thank you for allowing us to use our platform to uplift them in their struggle, and for creating space to facilitate dialogue regarding artivism and liberation 🫂

We need your help.

Our immigrant neighbors detained by ICE, and held at Linn County Jail, go days, weeks, and even months with little to no support.

There has been a working group of dedicated support people that connect with the immigrant to connect them with their families, resources, or simply provide a listening ear.

If you have a few hours a week to spare, please consider joining this training and our team. Your caseload is dependent on your capacity and can fluctuate based off of what you’re able to offer!
