๐Ÿ’™ CPPC partners with local organizations to support youth prevention efforts in our schools.

One of our key partners, the Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC), provides school-based programming that helps students build skills and awareness around topics like prescription safety, va**ng, alcohol and ma*****na prevention, healthy coping, and positive relationships.

ASAC also supports school staff with training on prevention education, recognizing substance use trends, and creating safer, healthier school environments.

Together with our community partners, weโ€™re working to strengthen prevention efforts and support healthier environments for youth ๐Ÿ’™

Early Childhood Iowa (ECI) is here to ensure children, youth, and families have access to the programs and supports they deserveโ€”right in their own communities.

As state discussions continue about changes to early childhood funding and structure, itโ€™s important to understand what this could mean locally. ECI remains committed to strong, community-driven systems that meet local needs.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month ๐Ÿ’™

The Linn County Board of Supervisors has officially proclaimed April 2026 as a time to recognize the importance of strengthening families and protecting children in our community.

Child abuse and neglect are serious issues โ€“ but they are preventable. By building strong connections, supporting families, and promoting positive childhood experiences, we can help ensure every child grows up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.

Prevention works best when we work together. Partnerships between families, schools, healthcare providers, community and faith-based organizations, businesses, and law enforcement all play a vital role in creating a healthier, stronger community for our children.

We all share in the responsibility of supporting children and families. This month, we encourage everyone to take part in building caring connections and raising awareness.

Together, we can make a difference.
