Here at YPN, we are able to provide many different opportunities for families who desire to grow in their parenting skills and feel supported throughout pregnancy and early childhood.

Through one of our most impactful and popular programs- our Parents as Teachers Home Visitation Program- we were able to provide 𝟐,𝟎𝟎𝟔 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟑𝟏 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟗 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝟎–𝟓) 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐘𝟐𝟓!

Through twice-monthly home visits, YPN Parent Educators provide encouragement, education, and personalized support for families with children ages 0–5 in Linn and Jones Counties. Families receive:

✨ One-on-one support for new moms and dads as they transition into parenthood
✨ Guidance in understanding child development and activities that encourage growth and learning
✨ Parents as Teachers curriculum delivered in the comfort of their home
✨ Connections to local resources and community support
✨ Access to our We Care Shop, where families can earn points through healthy activities and redeem them for diapers, wipes, clothing, books, and other baby essentials

These visits help families build confidence, gain practical tools, and receive support every step of the way. Thank you to our community and supporters who help make programs like this possible! 💛

Today is Community Day! If you’re a community member not currently enrolled at EIDB, come visit us this afternoon between 3:30pm and 5:30pm to pick up 50 diapers (sizes newborn through 5). We look forward to seeing you!

We’re so grateful for our partnership with GreatAmerica! They invited us to share about YPN during their Lunch & Learn and truly went above and beyond by surprising us with a generous donation of diapers, wipes, and hygiene supplies for the families we serve.

We’re also excited that their team will be joining us to volunteer at Group this summer!

Our diaper bank and office will be closed on Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who served 🇺🇸.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by JCPenney this Mother’s Day weekend to support YPN’s We Care Shop! 💖🛍️

Because of your generosity, local families in our community will receive clothing and essentials they truly need. Every purchase from the donation rack made a direct impact, and we are so grateful to everyone who shopped, shared, donated, and supported this event. ❤️

Thank you to JCPenney in Cedar Rapids for partnering with us and helping make this possible! 💐 Together, we were able to celebrate Mother’s Day while giving back to families in our community.

Hey everyone! We are in need of reliable, volunteers to join us at YPN’s We Care Shop and to make an impact in our community 💙

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity for those who enjoy giving back in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Available volunteer shifts:

Mondays (3:30–5:30 PM): Assist with diaper distribution

Tuesdays (11:00 AM–1:00 PM): Help during We Care Shop hours

Wednesdays (1:00–3:00 PM): Help during We Care Shop hours

What you’ll do:

Provide a warm, welcoming experience for shoppers
Assist with very basic computer/data entry tasks (simple and easy to learn!)
Support day-to-day shop operations

This is a friendly, low-stress way to support the community, and we’re especially looking for volunteers who can commit to a regular, ongoing schedule.
