Kennedy High School is one of four high schools in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Founded in 1967, Kennedy has become one of the top rated high schools in Iowa and in the nation. Kennedy is known for its superb academic program with some of the highest AP, ACT, and Iowa Assessment scores in the district and the state. Kennedy's performing arts programs are the benchmark of success. Ou

r Show Choir, Theatre, Speech, Band, and Orchestra routinely earn high praise for their performances. And our athletic programs are top-notch, with numerous state appearances and championships throughout our history. The goal of the Kennedy social media page is to share important news and celebrate the achievements of our students and staff with the community, fostering an open and respectful dialogue.
