Waypoint Services

Waypoint Services Waypoint also serves 14 counties throughout Iowa, with our Survivors' Program. They also support victims of violent felony crimes.

Waypoint’s mission is “to inspire people to move forward,” which is accomplished through leadership in the community’s housing, domestic violence, and homicide survivors’ services, impacting over 15,000 people in crisis each year. Waypoint provides advocacy for people experiencing domestic violence, needing housing, or experiencing a housing crisis by providing emergency shelter, and housing solut

ions. Survivors' Program advocates for individuals and families who have lost a loved one due to homicide or vehicular homicide. Waypoint's Child Care Program, KidsPoint, is built upon over 30 years of experience offering early childhood education to children of all backgrounds, serving over 500 children ages six weeks to 12 years of age. We are extra thankful this Thursday to our wonderful community partners. Earlier this month our Street Outreach Coordinator, Katelyn, participated in a panel with some of the Lived Experience Advisory Council in Des Moines. Sharing the work she does in our community to help promote change in others. Thank you Iowa Balance of State Continuum of Care for the invitation.

We also want to thank you to Catholic Daughters of the Americas - Court #1768 for their generous donation for our Domestic Violence program. You're donation from your Life Saver Project will help our advocates and support our programming.

We could not do any of this with out our community and supporters, so thank you for a wonderful week!

Our coordinator works with individuals who are unsheltered find resources and helps them on a pathway to stable housing.

A huge thank you to United Way for organizing Day of Caring and to the amazing volunteers from Collins Aerospace for spending the day at Waypoint!

Their team helped with landscaping, cleaning playground equipment, refreshing our main spaces, and even assembling bookshelves. Their hard work made a big impact on our spaces and the people we serve every day.

We are grateful for community partners and volunteers who continue to support Waypoint! 💙
